Imidovil

Composition:

Each ml contains 85 mg Imidocarb equivalent and 120 mg Imidocarb dipropionate.

Indication:

Imidovil is used for the treatment and prevention of Babesiosis disease in large ruminants, horses, sheep, donkeys, mules, and dogs. It is also used for the treatment of Eperythrozoonosis (Mycoplasma suis) in pigs.

Dosage and Usage:

Therapeutic Dosage:

For large ruminants: 1.2 mg/kg body weight

For sheep: 1 mg/kg body weight

For pigs: 2 mg/kg body weight

For horses: 2.4 mg/kg body weight

For dogs: 3 mg/kg body weight

Prophylactic Dosage:

For horses, against B. Cabali: 2.4 mg/kg body weight for 2 days

For horses, against B. Equi: 4 times with 72-hour intervals, 4 mg/kg body weight, followed by 7.5 mg/kg body weight the next day

For dogs, prophylactic dosage is 6 mg/kg body weight.

Practical Dosage:

The following dosages are provided as examples and may vary based on treatment type and lifestyle:

For large ruminants, against B. Bovis and B. Bigemina:

Therapeutic: 1 ml/100 kg BW

Prophylactic: Not applicable

For sheep, against B. Ovis:

Therapeutic: Not applicable

Prophylactic: Not applicable

For horses, against B. Equi and B. Cabali:

Therapeutic: 2 ml/100 kg BW, twice with a 48-hour interval

Prophylactic: 2 ml/100 kg BW, twice with a 24-hour interval

For donkeys and mules, against B. Cabali:

Therapeutic: 2 ml/100 kg BW

Prophylactic: 2 ml/100 kg BW, twice with a 24-hour interval

For pigs, against E. Suis:

Therapeutic: 1 ml/50 kg BW

Prophylactic: Not applicable

For dogs, against B. Canis:

Therapeutic: 0.25-0.5 ml/10 kg BW

Prophylactic: 0.5 ml/10 kg BW
