Cloproject Injection

Composition:

Each ml contains 250 micrograms of Kloprostenol.

Description:

Cloprostenol is a synthetic prostaglandin for cattle, horses, and pigs. It is an analogue of prostaglandin F2α with specific luteolytic effects. It causes functional and morphological regression of the corpus luteum in cattle, horses, and pigs, followed by return to estrus and normal ovulation.

Indications:

Cloproject Inj. is recommended and specifically used for:

Induction and synchronization of estrus in heifers and cows.

Synchronization of return to estrus in sows.

Embryo transfer recipient programs in cattle.

Treatment of functional disturbances of the ovary.

Postpartum and postweaning anestrus.

Irregular and anovulatory cycles.

Corpus luteum cysts.

Calf diseases after birth.

Pyometra, (endo)metritis.

Normal or pathological termination of pregnancy in the first half.

Follicular cysts, from the 10th to the 14th day following the administration of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) or chorionic gonadotropin.

Contraindications:

Do not administer to pregnant animals unless termination of pregnancy is intended. Do not use in animals with disorders of the circulatory, gastrointestinal, or reproductive system.

Additional Effects:

In horses, abdominal pain, restlessness, diarrhea, sweating, and dilation of blood vessels may occur shortly after injection.

Caution:

Kloprostenol can be absorbed through the skin, so caution is needed, especially in pregnant women and individuals with chronic atypical respiratory diseases. Kloprostenol can cause bronchospasm in humans.

Dosage and Administration:

For intramuscular injection.

Ensure that the temperature of the vial is the same as the animal's body temperature.

For acute cases:

Cattle: 2 ml per animal.

Horses: 0.5 ml per animal.

Pigs: 0.7 ml per animal.

Repeat treatment should only be done under the advice of a veterinarian.

Withdrawal Period:

Meat: 1 day

Milk: None

Storage:

Store between 15°C and 25°C in a dry, dark place. Keep out of the reach of children.

Presentation:

Available in 10 ml multi-dose vials, individually packed in cartons (126 vials per export box).
