Ceftivil Injection

Antibacterial Solution for Injection

Composition per ml:

Each ml contains 1 mg of Cefurofur hydrochloride, which is equivalent to 50 mg of Cefurofur.

Indications:

Used in large ruminants for the treatment of respiratory system and soft tissue infections caused by bacteria susceptible to cefurofur. Specifically, it is effective in the treatment of shipping fever and other similar pneumonia diseases in large ruminants, as well as respiratory system infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus somnus, and for the treatment of interdigital necrobacillosis caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus. It is also effective against postpartum metritis caused by E. coli, Actinobacillus pyogenes, and Fusobacterium necrophorum.

Usage and Dosage:

Pharmacological Dosage:

The pharmacological dosage for large ruminants is 1 mg/kg of live weight. It is administered only via intramuscular and subcutaneous routes.

Practical Dosage:

The practical dosage is 1 ml per 50 kg of live weight. The treatment should continue for 3 days at 24-hour intervals. If necessary, the treatment duration can be extended by two more days. For multiple injections, the total volume should be divided into 15 ml portions. Subcutaneous administration is contraindicated.

Note: Shake well before use.
