Composition:

Each ml of the solution contains:

Flumethrin 10 mg

Indications:

Akarvil 1% Pour-On is indicated for the treatment and control of lice, keds, and mange mites in large ruminants and sheep. It is effective against ticks and biting lice. Specific parasites it targets include:

Ticks: Boophilus sp., Hyalomma sp., Rhipicephalus sp., Amblyomma sp., Dermacentor marginatus

Biting and sucking lice: Haematophinus sternus, Linognathus vituli, Bavicola bovis, B. ovis, Melophagus ovinus

Mange mites (Psoroptes ovis)

It can also be used against demodectic mange in dogs.

Dosage and Administration:

For large ruminants:

Body weight (kg): 100, Dosage (ml): 10

Body weight (kg): 200, Dosage (ml): 20

Body weight (kg): 300, Dosage (ml): 30

Body weight (kg): 400, Dosage (ml): 40

Body weight (kg): 500, Dosage (ml): 50

For sheep:

For the treatment of mange mites and lice, double the calculated dose for large ruminants and sheep. For the treatment of demodectic mange in dogs, use a dosage of 1 ml per 10 kg body weight. The solution should be poured along the backline from the base of the head to the tail head using the graduated applicator, and can also be directly applied to affected areas.
